Solving problems is what I do for fun.
I made this page to share some of the work I've done over the last few years. Thanks for visiting!

I've always loved working with my hands, and Mechanical Engineering seemed like a pretty good way to be creative while getting to play with cool machinery. I attended the University of Virginia and graduated with my BSME, finding tons of growth in Virginia Motorsports and the Ultimate Frisbee club.
At UVA and beyond, I have had the pleasure to work in several amazing engineering environments (and one amazing bike shop during my sabattical), and really cherish working in high-performing teams that are focused on delivering real-world results.
I love top-rope indoor climbing, especially when my sister Casey tags along.
Some of my favorite memories are while travelling with my family. My brother, dad and I loved our trip to Japan in 2024 - we're already thinking about our return!
Biking is another top hobby for me. I picked up this sweet vintage aero frame in New Zealand, and commuted often with it even though the frame was a few sizes too large...
I discovered a love for motorsports in late high school and have carried that with me ever since. From watching Formula One to changing my own oil, I find many ways to engage with the automotive space.
I am also very passionate about sustainable living and reducing my carbon footprint, so I am currently in the process of reconciling these two things and look forward to the future.
In the waning hours of 2024, I decided to take a sabbatical and follow my partner Emma to New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa. Partially motivated by a lack of study abroad opportunities due to Covid-19, I wanted to experience life in a different country as well as life outside of the engineering desk. While living in Auckland for 4 months, I worked in a bicycle store and met tons of awesome Kiwis - including our 4 housemates in St. Mary's Bay. We capped off the experience with an incredible South Island van trip for 18 days, then hopped over to Australia for another 2.5 weeks before returning to home soil.
At the top of the Sealy Tarns hike in Aoraki Mt. Cook. 2200 stair steps each way was no joke, but definitely worth the views!!
My trusty Nissan Micra 12SR "Miguel", a true JDM beast that was a constant joy to drive even on the rough unsealed roads of rural North Island.
With Emma on a boat tour of Milford Sound. It's really a Fjord, but we didn't let that technicality ruin the day.
Our beloved rental Toyota Hiace camper van
I developed an affinity for Pic's peanut butter, and was star-struck when I got to visit their factory and make my own NZ famous batch.
By wonderful chance, I moved to Auckland at the same time that one of my High School classmates Spencer and his Kiwi partner Tash were doing the same!
